The original L&PS steam engine service facilities were located north-east of Colborne and Bathurst, but after electrification in 1914, the area was converted for other uses. By the time this photo was taken ( around 1930 ), the turntable has been removed and the roundhouse is rented out for storage.

This structure, located on Bathurst just east of Maitland Street, is the old Grand Trunk Railway passenger station. In 1858 the GTR built a branch line to London from St. Mary's to compete with the Great Western Railway who had established here 4 years earlier. The GTR eventually took over their competitor in 1882 and consolidated services in London at the GWR's station near Richmond Street. The original GTR station remained abandoned for many years and as seen here in the 1930s was in dilapidated condition and soon to be dismantled.

The L&PS traversed the streets of London to reach its private right-of-way south of Horton. Here we see the mainline route up Hamilton Rd towards Maitland.

Turning south, the L&PS mainline breaks the tranquility of this small park at Horton and Maitland Streets.
